everyone is so excited for graduation, but i just want everything to slow down.
people come up to me and ask “aren’t you so excited for graduation?!” i smile and say “yeah.” but all i want to do is scream: NO! i am not excited to graduate because when we graduate, i have one week until i move and im gone. ill be at church on saturday and sunday which leaves me 4 days to pack and spend maximum time with the friends that i love. so, no. im not excited to graduate.
yeah…today was a good day :]

i cant say im not disappointed. i, as well as several other people, have dedicated 4 complete years of our lives to running on this team. we never took more than a week or two off unless inured, and we worked our butts off. we didnt even want to go to the banquet because we knew things would get emotional. but it turns out we were wrong. nothing more than a collective good job. no recognition. none at all. i dont wish i got an award. i just wish something small was said about us. it doesnt help that the only thing you said at the cross country banquet was “i cant say anything about sarah because she’ll start crying” and ending it there. a good night’s sleep and ill forget about it all.
to those who have run with me for the last 4 years, thank you. thank you for always motivating me to keep going and to push harder. thank you for becoming my second family and bringing smiles to my face daily. i really appreciate the time we have spent together. though you all are not properly recognized, i want you to know how amazing you are. how we, as runners, do amazing things. there are times when we run 50+ miles in a week. not anyone can say that. be proud of what you have accomplished. good job and good luck next year.
